"I believe Varenna is a superior location for visiting Lake Como. It has a direct train connection from Milan and frequent ferry stops. It is situated for beautiful sunsets too. I'm so glad we did not stay in Bellagio. They have so many ferry stops, it is like a zoo."

"Varenna is a very beautiful place. It’s a shame the Ferry company don’t have staff who are easily available to assist tourists/customers. Only the ticket staff are available and that’s very strange considering the number of people who need help. Signage for customers is also poor and needs updating at the port. "
